Our gym looks like all gyms did 50 years ago. No machines, no tvs, no gimmicks. CrossFit revolves around a simple idea: work out using only functional movements; constantly vary them in as many different combinations as imagination will allow; and always work out at high intensity. We train the entire body with compound movements, not by isolating individual muscles. Nowhere in sport or in nature will you tax one muscle while the rest of your body relaxes in a nice padded chair, so we don’t train in the gym that way.  Activities that demand the ten components of physical fitness (cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy) DEVELOP all of these components. If you depend on a machine to control movements for you, not only are you not developing balance and coordination, but you are attempting to develop strength without control, which puts you at higher risk for injuries. Come see what CrossFit is all about first hand and feel the difference.
